Position Overview: 

As a Technical Project Manager at NetRefer, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and vendors and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules of various size and scope, identifying risks and future opportunities and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You are equally at ease explaining your analyses and recommendations to C-Level as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.  

You will have the overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, teams and vendors (as applicable) and contractual deliverables. As a Technical Project Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the requirements are captured, managing cross-group communication and technical dependencies with other NetRefer teams, creating and driving the overall schedule.

The potential candidate, will contribute excellent problem-solving, project delivery, and technical skills. Your experience in software product development and delivering complex large-scale hardware/software projects will be critical as you effectively work and adapt to a fast-paced and challenging environment. In this role, you will think critically and lead through intellect.

This role crosses all processes and phases of the project management lifecycle using multiple project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary project point of contact and partner with key personnel to plan, develop, manage and implement projects.
  • Drive, support and promote best project management practices, techniques and methodologies.
  • Develop project plans, goals and budgets as well as identifying resources needed.
  • Develop schedules and methods for measuring results.
  • Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the project.
  • Organising and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion.
  • Assembling and coordinating project team members, assigning individual responsibilities.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and other stakeholders to identify release vehicles, milestones, and deliverables.
    Communicate status and health of the releases as it impacts internal stakeholder teams.
  • Drive both inter and intra-team communications and establishing a consistent delivery rhythm. 

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management, managing technical software projects with internal engineering teams. 
  • Experience delivering user interfaces, APIs, and/or backend service software. 
  • Experience with cloud based technology.  
  • Excellent project management skills. 
  • Detail oriented.
  • Good communication skills both written and oral.
